HCS & TxHmL Provider in Texas
Care that respects the person. Support that builds independence.
Abricare Homes & Community-Based Services is operated by Abricare Inc., based in Arlington, Texas. We provide high-quality, person-centered HCS and TxHmL services that help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live meaningful, fulfilling lives.
Our approach begins with the individual, not the disability. We work alongside individuals, families, legally authorized representatives, service coordinators, healthcare professionals, and community partners to provide support that follows each person’s plan and goals.

Our mission
To empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve greater independence, exercise meaningful choice, and participate fully in their communities through compassionate, person-centered support.
We are also a dependable partner to the families, LIDDAs, and service coordinators who trust us with the people they care about. Whoever refers someone to us, our promise is the same: respectful, reliable support that keeps the person at the center.
Our vision
A community where every individual is respected, included, supported, and empowered to live the life they choose.
Who we are
People who show up, and stay.
Abricare is part of a Texas care family that already serves patients and families through Abricare Hospice. We bring the same commitment to dignity and dependable care to the people we support in HCS and TxHmL.
Our direct support professionals, nurses, and program staff know that good support is built on trust. That takes consistency, patience, and getting to know each person well: what they love, what they find hard, and what they want next.
What we stand for
The values behind every day.
A few beliefs guide everything we do. They are not a poster on the wall. They show up in how we ask before we help, how we celebrate small wins, and how we speak with families when something goes wrong.
- Dignity
- Every person is respected as an adult with their own voice, history, and hopes.
- Choice
- You decide how you want to live. We offer options and honor your decisions.
- Independence
- We support people to do as much as they can for themselves, and a little more each day.
- Compassion
- Patience and warmth in every interaction, especially on the hard days.
- Safety
- Careful, well-trained support that protects health and well-being without taking away freedom.
- Inclusion
- Everyone belongs in their community: at work, at worship, at the store, and with friends.
- Integrity
- We do what we say, follow the rules that protect you, and tell you the truth.
Our approach
How we support you.
Person-centered support is not a slogan for us. It is how the work gets done, one person at a time. We start by listening to you and the people who know you best.
Then we work with your service coordinator and your team to put your plan into action: the right staff, the right schedule, and support that builds skills instead of doing everything for you. As your goals change, your support changes with them. We keep your family or LAR informed, and we follow the state rules that are there to protect you.
We are here when you need us.
Whether you are an individual, a family member, or a service coordinator, our team will answer your questions with patience and care. Reach out any time.
